Asus spinning dots start up then stop spinning and freeze.

I have an Asus N552VX laptop.

First battery was not charging, now when I go to boot up, the Asus spinning dots start up then stop spinning and freeze.

Beforehand, it was operating really well.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry we missed your chat request

I don’t think the freezing situation has anything to do with the battery, you can test this by removing the battery and testing with main power only.

I assume this can be a hard drive issue.
