The Asus P550L is an entry level laptop released with i3, i5 and i7 processor, 500GB hard drive, Intel® HD Graphic
s 4400, 15.6 inches 1366 x 768 LED (Light Emitting Diod) screen.
Replacing the screen on the Asus P550L is a very straight forward job.
The bezel is help with 2 screws at the bottom 2 corners, covered by 2 squared plastic covers. Once removed the bezel can come off by pulling it off the back cover.
Then the screen is held by 4 screws 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom, once removed slowly title the screen towards the keyboard, disconnect the LCD cable, this is the most sensitive part of the replacing the damaged screen, careful not to damage this cable while pulling out of pushing into the screen connector.
Damaging the LCD cable will cause a ripple effect, the lcd cable is connected to the motherboard and replacing the cable will required digging inside the laptop.
Once the LCD screen cable is removed, lay the new screen dace down on the keyboard and connect the LCD cable, then revers every thing done to removed the screen.
